Comments: I'm sorry to complain, but yesterday I was highly disappointed on a service call I had yesterday. First of all let me express I am a union man, and have been for 27 years and I understand a cost of a service call. It's what you do at the service call that is important that counts. I called you because I know that you are union, and I always try to stay the union way. I will say your service tech. was very polite to begin with. My unit is older, and is not working properly. Your tech showed up, sat in his truck for a few moments untill I walked out. he came in and expressed that our unit was an older one and he nasn't sure if he had a controller that would not work. after looking around in his van he said I think this one will possibly work.(possibly?) He read the directions, programmed it and nothing. gave the unit a quick glance, 20 seconds or so, and said something was wrong with our unit, thats it. didn't unplug the unit to check any of the circuits or nothing. I told him abou a neighbor that wanted there doors replaced as we talked, and they had overhead mechanisms similar to ours that work fine, but they just wanted there doors replaced. I am currently watching there home for they are on vacation, so I have keys and remote to garage door. I had an idea, programmed there remote to ours, bingo, it worked. then I took my old remote, put there battery in it and it worked on and off after pressing it 20 to 30 times. put the battery back in theres and bingo it worked again. I called my neighbor to see how evereything was going, and explained the situation on the events of the day. SHE EXPLAINED They had seven remotes, (LARGE FAMILY) told me to take two, and now evereything works fine. I only wish that I would have thought of this before I paid 76.50 for a sevice call that netted nothing. There again, I appoligize for the compaint, but I felt more could have been diagnosed than a quick glance.
